Thor 29 mo Anna almost 8 mo.

Anna has been crawling for over a month.

She pulls up to her knees and pulled up to standing last night.

She is getting her top teeth. Last night she woke every hour!

Thor is so cute... he says everything.

He can count to 10, he can recognize up to three objects (and count them). He recognizes several letters.
Thor knows how to tell us that his stomach hurts. He threw up for the second time ever yesterday. Yuck!!

Challenges: Thor can be very rough with Anna (hitting her, kicking her, etc.). I have been trying to be patient but it is very very hard for me in this situation. Tony and I do not believe in spanking, but I have spanked Thor twice for hurting Anna. It absolutely does not make sense to tell Thor not to hurt Anna by then hurting him! I felt so terrible after spanking him -- I felt like a horrible mother and person. He was so sad about it. So I resolve to never do it again, and instead to remove him from the situation.

Anna is becoming a more challinging little person herself. She is more demanding. She hates to have her diaper changed. She has seperation anxiety and does not like me to leave the room. She wakes more frequently at night, probably because of teething.

I find myself still on the rollercoaster of mothering -- one time giddily in love with my children, one time wanting to lock myself in the bathroom! Normal, I know...

I am trying to cultivate lots and lots of patience... to avoid yelling or being rough or insensitive. They are just babies... just babies... :)
